I am engaged in the medical industry, and I often travel between Beijing and Harbin for about 8 years, almost 2 to 3 times a month, and the opening of the (Beijing-Harbin) high-speed rail really saved me a lot of time on business trips. It used to be about 7 hours’ drive from Beijing to Harbin, but now it’s shortened to more than 4 hours and nearly 5 hours. This really brings us a lot of convenience.

[Explanation] Beijing-Harbin High-speed Railway is one of the main passages of "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railways in the national "medium and long-term railway network planning". It starts from Beijing, passes through Hebei, Liaoning, and Jilin provinces, and finally enters Harbin, Heilongjiang Province , The operating mileage is 1,198 kilometers.

[Concurrent] Zhang Xiaowei, Deputy Director of Sankeshu Locomotive Depot, Harbin Railway Administration

Our Beijing-Harbin high-speed line is designed in accordance with the 350 km/h level. At the beginning of the operation, our maximum operating speed is 310 km/h. Especially in winter and cold weather, we can guarantee the safe operation of 310 km. This is for us Railroad people are a very big challenge.

[Explanation] It is understood that the opening of the Beijing-Harbin high-speed rail will effectively enhance the passenger transportation capacity of the entry and exit channels, further enhance the coverage and accessibility of the high-speed rail network, form the fastest railway transportation channel from Harbin to Beijing, and enhance regional transportation capacity.

At the initial stage of operation, 4 pairs of high-speed EMU trains will be operated between Harbin West Station and Beijing Chaoyang Station, and the number will reach 14 in the long term. The high-speed rail travel from Harbin to Beijing will be realized.
