Dresden (dpa / sn) - Every fifth insured person (22 percent) of the Barmer health insurance does not want to be vaccinated against the corona virus.
Doubts about the safety of the vaccines (68 percent), the fear of side effects (60 percent) and doubts about their effectiveness (52 percent) represented the biggest hurdles, the health insurance company announced on Wednesday.
The best way to dispel these doubts is through well-founded information, explained the Saxon Barmer boss Fabian Magerl.
“We can only cope with the corona pandemic if many people get vaccinated.
Education is the best means for a high level of acceptance and willingness to vaccinate in the population. "
