Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - From Thursday you can step outside the door in Baden-Württemberg even without good reason.

The state government lifts the exit restrictions between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The corresponding change to the regulation will be decided by the cabinet in the course of the day by circulation, as a government spokesman confirmed to the German press agency on Wednesday.

So far, people have only been allowed to leave the apartment for a valid reason - for example to go to work, go shopping or go to the doctor.

At the same time, the nationwide nocturnal exit restrictions will be lifted.

From Thursday evening they will only apply in regions with a threshold of 50 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week.

The night exit restrictions also start an hour later - from 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

So far, the nationwide curfew came into effect at 8 p.m.

The administrative court in Mannheim had previously overturned the nationwide night curfew.

The court had ruled that it may apply for the last time in the night from Wednesday to Thursday.

The court granted an urgent application from a plaintiff from Tübingen because the measure was no longer proportionate in view of the regionally falling numbers.

The state government then decided to lift the exit restrictions during the day.
