The White House in the United States has announced that President Donald Trump, who is about to retire, has pardoned and commuted 143 people, including former Chief Strategist Stephen K. Bannon.

According to the announcement, President Trump has pardoned 73 people, including former White House Chief Strategist Bannon, and commuted 70 people.



Mr. Bannon played an important role in the 2016 presidential election as an aide to President Trump and came into power, but was often dismissed.



He was subsequently arrested and charged with fraud and is currently on bail.
