Syrian journalist and novelist Khalil Sweileh said: “To translate your novel into another language, this means that it flew with two wings outside the land of your mother tongue.

Euphoria leads you to questions of the type: How does the other receive the pain of another language in his own language, to what extent will the fate of characters who live with different concerns attract him, and what degree of influence of a foreign reader is with the climates that have created them, without thinking that they will travel great distances to be part of a second culture.

Of course, I should thank the Sheikh Zayed Book Award for allowing my novel (The Test of Regret) to breathe additional oxygen outside the space for the Arabic language.
