Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Dieter Schatzschneider fears Simon Terodde: The Hamburger SV center forward is well on the way to chasing the 62-year-old ex-professional scoring record in the 2nd Bundesliga.

“I have to expect that now, even if I would like to keep the record myself.

Because such a record is something special, ”said Schatzschneider of“ Sport Bild ”(Wednesday).

Schatzschneider, who played for HSV in the Bundesliga from 1983 to 1984, scored 154 goals for Hannover 96 and Fortuna Köln in the second division.

Terodde increased his mark to 137 with his 19th goal of the season in a 3: 3 against Erzgebirge Aue.

For the owner of the record, the 32-year-old HSV attacker is “a machine, he never stops scoring goals - even in a phase when things are not going so well for HSV or for him”.
