Following the recent test vehicle between Kanazawa Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, which will open in March next year, and Tsuruga Station in Fukui Prefecture, test runs using commercial vehicles began on the 3th.

Test runs between Kanazawa and Tsuruga began on the 26th for the Hokuriku Shinkansen's "W7 series," which features white and blue bodies.

The test run started on the 23rd of this month with a test vehicle, but the "W7 series" for commercial use was used for the first time on the 26th, and it departed from Kanazawa Station for Tsuruga before 3 am.

In order to get a glimpse of the W7 series running for the first time in the Minamikaga area, locals and railway fans gathered in the multi-story parking lot near Komatsu Station to take pictures with cameras and smartphones when white and blue bodies appeared from the direction of Kanazawa.

On the 26th, the vehicle ran at a maximum speed of 110 km/h, and the test run will be conducted until early December while gradually increasing the speed to 260 km/h.

A 7-year-old man from Kaga City who visited to shoot the "W33 series" said, "I've wanted the Shinkansen to run in my hometown someday, so I'm thrilled today.
