Beijing, 9 Sep (ZXS) -- The 26th China-EU High-level Economic and Trade Dialogue was held in Beijing a few days ago. A spokesperson of China's Ministry of Commerce said on the 26th that the two sides agreed to build a stable and mutually trusted industrial chain and supply chain, and opposed "decoupling and breaking the chain".

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce said that China and the EU had pragmatic, frank and fruitful discussions on four topics: macroeconomics, trade and investment, industrial chain and supply chain, and financial cooperation. The two sides reached a series of achievements and consensus on macroeconomic policy coordination, industrial chain and supply chain cooperation, improving the business environment, WTO reform, two-way opening up of the financial industry and regulatory cooperation.

The two sides agreed to build a stable and trusting industrial chain and supply chain, jointly maintain the resilience and stability of the global industrial chain and supply chain, and oppose "decoupling and breaking the chain". The two sides discussed the establishment of an early warning mechanism for the supply chain of raw materials between China and the EU and agreed to maintain communication.

The two sides agreed to establish a dialogue mechanism in the field of export control to conduct communication and dialogue on export control policies and practices.

The two sides agreed to accelerate the market access process for EU agricultural and food products, promote more high-quality EU agricultural products into the Chinese market, expand the scale of China-EU agricultural trade and better meet the needs of the people of both sides. The two sides agreed to reactivate the EU-China Working Group on Alcoholic Beverages.

The two sides had an in-depth and frank exchange of views on the EU's recent trade policies such as international procurement tools, foreign subsidy review, and carbon border adjustment mechanism, and hoped that the EU side would prudently use trade remedy measures, encourage deepening cooperation in the new energy industry represented by electric vehicles, and create a good environment for normal trade exchanges and green and sustainable development between China and the EU.
