Zhengzhou, September 9 (ZXS) -- At the third Henan Province Overseas Chinese Group "Belt and Road" Innovation and Cooperation Development Conference held on 25 September, overseas Chinese groups from Canada, South Africa and other countries, as well as representatives of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan business circles, focused on the keywords of innovation and cooperation to explore and jointly build the "Belt and Road" countries' economic, trade, cultural and other development opportunities.

Hosted by the Henan Provincial Government, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Henan Provincial Government and the Department of Commerce of Henan Province, the conference was themed "Openness, Win-win Cooperation and Greater Glory in the Central Plains", aiming to strengthen cooperation and expand opening up with countries that jointly build the "Belt and Road".

Promoting cooperation and seizing opportunities became the consensus of the participants.

Tang Ho Hong, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Hong On Properties Limited, said that Hong Kong is one of the main sources of foreign investment in Henan Province, and Henan is also an important investment base for Hong Kong companies in the central region of the mainland, and Hong Kong can provide a professional platform and high-quality services for Henan enterprises to "go out and bring in".

Ren Xiang, a British returned overseas Chinese and chairman of the China-UK Science and Technology Innovation Platform, has been back in Henan for more than ten years to start a business, and has been committed to building a "bridge" between China and the UK in talent, project and capital cooperation. Speaking on behalf of returned overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, he said that Henan's resource advantages are being transformed into development dividends, and "entrepreneurship in Henan is close to opportunities, talents, markets, and hometowns."

The consensus to promote cooperation and seize opportunities was not only reflected in the speeches at the conference, but also outside the venue. In just a few days after returning to China, Wu Lujun, secretary general of the Henan Chamber of Commerce in South Africa, traveled around to connect with South African businessmen for enterprises in Luohe and Xuchang, Henan, and actively communicated and cooperated with the South African government and enterprises.
