According to Novak, the main task at the moment is to keep fuel prices at a stable level.

He noted that oil companies manage to cope with this.

"Therefore, we are engaged in balancing the wholesale market, and you see that in the last two trading sessions, gasoline prices have fallen quite decently, by four percent," Interfax quoted him as saying.

Novak also added that, if necessary, the government is ready to make drastic decisions.

Earlier, Novak said that at the moment there is no shortage of fuel in Russia.
