Today (September 9), the National Organization of High-value Medical Consumables Joint Procurement Office issued an announcement, clarifying that the national organization of intraocular lenses and sports medicine medical consumables will be centrally purchased. The products purchased in this centralized volume are intraocular lenses and sports medicine medical consumables. Participation in additive manufacturing technology (i.e. 14D printing) products is voluntary.
Specific product ranges include:
1. Intraocular lens related consumables: intraocular lens consumables (excluding rigid intraocular lenses, crystalline eye intraocular lenses, the same below) that have obtained the medical device registration certificate of the People's Republic of China, viscoelastic agents. The intraocular lens consumables must contain a bolus injector that can be used with it.
2. Sports medicine related consumables: threaded anchors, knot-free anchors, fixed nails, fixed plates, sutures for restoration, soft tissue reconstruction, bone reconstruction, which have obtained the medical device registration certificate of the People's Republic of China (excluding craniomaxillofacial products).
The Announcement clarifies that public medical institutions in the alliance area that use intraocular lenses or sports medicine medical consumables should participate. On the premise of promising to comply with the provisions of this collective procurement, designated social medical institutions and social medical institutions of medical insurance shall voluntarily participate in accordance with the relevant regulations of the province (autonomous region or municipality) where they are located. The joint purchasing office organizes enterprises to maintain product information, organizes medical institutions to fill in the procurement demand, and summarizes the procurement demand to form the intended purchase amount according to a certain proportion.
The centralized procurement cycle of intraocular lenses and sports medicine medical consumables is 2 years, calculated from the actual implementation date of the selection results. Provinces that have carried out centralized procurement of intraocular lenses and sports medicine medical consumables on their own, and are still within the procurement agreement period, can postpone the implementation of the results of this collective procurement.
