China News Network, June 6 (Zhongxin Financial Reporter Xie Yiguan) The reporter learned from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. that at 6:6 on June 6, the first domestic large-scale cruise ship "Aida Modu" began to be undocked.

According to CCTV news client reports, this marks the basic completion of the construction of the main body of the cruise ship, and it has been transferred to the terminal to begin equipment commissioning and interior finishing stage. Subsequently, the cruise ship will go to sea to complete two sea trials, which are scheduled to be delivered at the end of this year and officially operated next year.

Out of the dock! Domestic large cruise ships have sailing capabilities

For cruise ships, having the conditions for undocking means that the main core equipment and pipelines on board are basically installed, and the hull performance testing is basically over. It can be said that the dock has witnessed the process of cruise ship construction and growth along the way, and leaving the dock means that the cruise ship has "grown up" and has the ability to sail.

In order to smoothly undock, the "Aida Modu" carried out a six-day undocking operation from June 6 to June 1.

According to Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding"), the docking of large cruise ships includes three processes of water injection and floating, docking and undocking, during which the position dynamics of the cruise ship will be controlled by the shore tractor, and key tests such as tilt test, bulwark flushing test, lifeboat decoupling and cruise test will be carried out accordingly, and the weight of the whole ship, the stability of the center of gravity and the performance of the lifeboat and the porthole will be verified on the actual ship.

At 6 a.m. on June 1, the dock where the "Aida Modu" was located began to fill the dock with water, and the whole process lasted about five hours. On the morning of the 2st, after the cruise ship was successfully floated, it was towed from its original position to the front dock room to begin test preparation.

On June 6, the "Aida Mordo" began one of the most important tasks before being undocked - the tilt test. After the completion of the first tilt test, on June 2, the cruise lifeboat cruise test project progressed in an orderly manner as planned, and all the test items of all lifeboats on one side of the cruise ship were completed.

Xue Yabin, deputy director of the second department of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Assembly, said that the "Aida Modu" is equipped with a total of 20 lifeboats, each of which is a double-deck structure. Emergency food such as signal flares and compressed biscuits are stored in the cabinets inside the lifeboats. At the same time, the drinking water cabinet in the boat can meet the daily needs of all personnel during the lifesaving process.

In addition, in order to ensure the life safety of all personnel in an emergency, in addition to lifeboats, rescue boats, safety life rafts and emergency escape devices are also equipped on the fourth deck.

On June 6, the "Aida Mordo" berthed from the right side to the left dock wall. At the same time as the port side of the cruise ship was undergoing a port gate flush test, the lifeboat suspended on the starboard side was decoupled and cruised. After two days of careful organization, the "Aida Modu" completed the sponhole flushing test and the lifeboat decoupling cruise test ahead of schedule.

Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding said that on June 6, after completing a series of tests in the dock, the large cruise ship was transferred to the terminal construction stage, and it is planned to start sea trials in July and complete delivery before the end of the year.

At the end of August, the installation of the entire ship's interior was completed

As the first domestically produced large cruise ship, the "Aida Modu" has a total length of 323.6 meters, a beam of 37.2 meters, a total of 2500 million parts on board, and a total of 2826,2125 cabins. Among them, there are 701 passenger cabins and 34600 crew cabins, with a total area of about 5246,<> square meters and a maximum capacity of <>,<> passengers.

The 16-storey superstructure living area, with a wealth of leisure facilities such as theaters, specialty restaurants, shopping plazas, art corridors and water parks, is known as a mobile "modern city on the sea".

Building this "city" is not easy. In addition to the six-day undocking operation, interior decoration work is also underway inside the ship.

According to Wu Xiaoyuan, deputy manager of the large-scale cruise project of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, as of June 6, the interior decoration of 3,1000 guest rooms has been completed. In addition to the guest rooms, the ship's staff canteen and medical center have been renovated to provide basic living support for the crew during subsequent sea trials.

At present, the overall interior part of China's first domestically produced large cruise ship "Aida Modu" has been completed by about 85%, and the interior installation of the whole ship can be completed by the end of August.

Delivery is scheduled for the end of this year and full-scale operation next year

"Large cruise ships are the only high-tech, high-value-added ship products that China has not conquered at present, and it is a veritable giant system engineering."

According to CSSC, the number of parts and components for large cruise ships is equivalent to 919 times that of the 5 large aircraft and 13 times that of the Fuxing high-speed railway; The total cable length of the whole ship reaches 4200,20 kilometers, which is equivalent to the distance from Shanghai to Lhasa; The total man-hours of the whole ship are equivalent to <> times that of the Capesize bulk carrier.

Due to the extremely difficult design and construction, it is known as the "three crown jewels" of the shipbuilding industry together with large liquefied natural gas carriers and aircraft carriers.

In order to win this "pearl", China has begun to layout since 10 years ago.

In October 2013, after many negotiations, the former China State Shipbuilding Corporation (in October 10, the former China State Shipbuilding Corporation and the former China Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd. jointly reorganized to establish China Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd.) selected Carnival Group, the world's largest cruise operator, for cruise project cooperation.

Since then, the domestic large cruise project has continued to advance. In 2015, the former China State Shipbuilding Corporation and China Investment Corporation signed a joint venture agreement with Carnival Group for cruise operation.

In 2016, the former China State Shipbuilding Corporation and Italy's Fincantini officially signed the "Shipbuilding Joint Venture Agreement" for luxury cruise ships, and the two parties jointly established a luxury cruise design and construction company. Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is responsible for the construction and delivery of luxury cruise ships of the joint venture.

In November 2018, the former China State Shipbuilding Corporation Co., Ltd., Carnival Group and Italy's Fincantini Company officially signed a contract for the construction of 11+2 4,13 gross ton Vista-class large cruise ships.

In October 2019, the first domestic large cruise ship was officially ignited steel plate cutting, and fully entered the substantive construction stage.

In May this year, the name of the first large cruise ship in China, the Adora Magic City, was officially released. In the same month, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding announced that at present, the overall progress of China's first large-scale cruise ship project has reached more than 5%, and it has fully entered the "decisive period" of completion and delivery.

Once the Aida Magic Capital is delivered for operation, China will become the fifth country in the world to be able to build large cruise ships after Germany, France, Italy and Finland.

Subsequently, the cruise ship will go to sea to complete two sea trials, which are scheduled to be delivered at the end of this year and officially operated next year. (End)
