Lu'an, June 6 (Reporter Xia Bin Zhang Yazi) Located between Jianghuai and Huai, the Wei River runs through the city, Anhui Lu'an is built with water and prosperous because of water, facing the problem of mismatch between the rapid expansion of urban scale and sewage treatment capacity in recent years, how to control water determines the level of local residents' happiness index, and the answer given by Lu'an is to let the "smart water brain" go online.

Recently, the reporter of China News Agency followed the "high-quality development research line" interview group to the "water steward" control center of Lu'an, a large screen of intelligent control system stood in front of it, flashing data that changed from time to time closely related to the water-related infrastructure of Liu'an City, water assets, pipe network status, scheduling and other functions at a glance, digital inspection, operation management, integrated scheduling and other functions can be operated in real time.

This is the "smart brain" of Lu'an's "water steward", and it is also the first domestic intelligent control system of "factory network river, supply and drainage" independently developed by China Three Gorges Group.

On the whole, the key to urban pollution and water control in the Yangtze River Economic Belt lies in system governance, and for a long time in the past, different subjects were "fighting alone" in water supply, drainage, sewage treatment and other links, which not only had high water control costs, but also had no obvious effect. Huang Rongmin, general manager of Anhui Region of Changjiang Environmental Protection Group, told reporters that in the past, there were problems such as multi-head management, treating the symptoms but not the root cause, high input and low output, and the "water steward" model adhered to global governance and systematically solved various contradictions.

The key to supporting this "smart water brain" is to manage every drop of water in the city in the cloud. At present, the rivers, pipe networks, water purification plants, sluices, pumping stations, etc. in Lu'an City are all connected through intelligent mode to achieve integrated management, which effectively solves the problem of fragmentation of sewage treatment system and continuous attenuation of treatment effect caused by "plant network separation".

Huang Rongmin said that through the "water steward", the video coverage of remote control operation and centralized monitoring of the Lu'an Chengbei Water Quality Purification Plant (Phase II), Fenghuangqiao Water Purification Plant (Phase II), the First Waterworks, Sewage Lifting Pump Station (12), and the Reservoir (5) can be fully covered.

In his view, it is far from enough to manage every drop of water, what is more important is to manage well, create an intelligent management model, and use digital technology to empower governance.

"For example, we can remotely control any valve in the biochemical treatment process section equipment of the Chengbei Water Purification Plant, and if the control is unsuccessful, the system will also prompt what caused the control to be unsuccessful, so that the fault can be eliminated in time." Huang Rongmin said that compared with the power and chemical industries, these are routine functions, but for the water industry, it is a big improvement.

There are many more "progresses" in Lu'an's "water steward": adjusting and balancing the sewage treatment capacity between regions, allowing sewage to go where it should go, and avoiding direct discharge and overflow; One-click water transfer, summon nearby waterworks "reinforcements" to relieve regional water pressure; In the event of rainfall, quickly generate a precipitation model map, predict the area prone to water accumulation according to the surface water flow, and issue instructions to open the corresponding drainage station; The use of voice alarm, event briefing, video surveillance and other methods to achieve digital intelligence inspection, the manual inspection cycle from the original 2 hours to 4 hours...

The data shows that since the operation of the "water steward", the sewage treatment capacity of Lu'an City has increased from 18,5 m3/d to 41,5 m3/d, the centralized collection rate of domestic sewage has increased from 44.8% before the implementation to 2022.69% in 7, the treatment of 14 black and odorous water bodies has all passed the review and cancellation number of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the rectification of major waterlogging points has been basically completed, the water environment and water ecology in the middle and lower reaches of the Weihe River Basin have been effectively improved, and the water resource dispatch capacity has been significantly improved. The water quality of the state-controlled section of the Xin'an ferry port of the Weihe River is stable at Class II-I.

Technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and digital twins have flourished in recent years, and the 14th Five-Year Plan clearly proposes to build a smart water conservancy system and improve water monitoring and reporting and intelligent dispatching capabilities with river basins as units. From "water control" to "smart water", the pace of digital transformation of the water industry has accelerated, and the digital technology empowered water pollution control is providing important support for the key core technologies in the field of ecological and environmental protection of the Yangtze River.

Huang Rongmin said: "Through the construction of the intelligent control system, we have initially realized the digital transformation of Lu'an's water-related business, improved labor productivity, and also taken a big step forward in the digitalization of China's water industry. (End)
