Taizhou, May 5 (Fu Feiyang, Wang Xun) On the 29th, in Sanmen County, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, the steel containment head of the nuclear island of Unit 29 of the Sanmen Nuclear Power Phase II Project, a subsidiary of CNNC, was successfully hoisted into place. This is the first large-scale module hoisted in the nuclear island reactor building of Unit 4 of the project, marking the beginning of the construction of the main structure of the plant and creating conditions for subsequent critical path construction.
In the morning of the same day, the lifting headquarters issued instructions, the 2600-ton crane began to lift, after test lifting, lifting, slewing, dropping hook and other actions, the bottom head of the containment shell was accurately in place, and the entire lifting process was safely controlled.
Steel containment (hereinafter referred to as: CV) is a nuclear-grade equipment, consisting of six modules: bottom sealing head, cylinder first ring, cylinder second ring, cylinder third ring, cylinder fourth ring and top sealing head, the main function is to build a barrier. The bottom head of this lifting is a CV base, which is hemispherical, with a design inner diameter of 39.6 meters, a height of 11.4 meters, a weight of 660.65 tons, and a total lifting weight of 811.65 tons, which is the first module to be hoisted into place among the six modules of CV.

The reporter learned that Unit 4 of the second phase of the Sanmen Nuclear Power Project started construction on March 3, which is the first nuclear power unit in China to start construction this year. After the completion and operation of the second phase of Sanmen nuclear power project, the total installed capacity of the first and second phases of Sanmen nuclear power will reach 22 million kilowatts, and the annual power generation is expected to reach 500 billion kilowatt hours, which is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 400 million tons per year, which will effectively promote the optimization of the industrial structure and energy structure of Zhejiang Province and ensure the security of East China power grid and regional energy supply.
The relevant person in charge of Sanmen Nuclear Power said that in order to ensure the smooth completion of this lifting task, Sanmen Nuclear Power cooperated with various collaborating units to organize weekly special meetings to sort out the completion of the work and coordinate and solve constraints; At the same time, the bottom head entity and related data are inspected for many times to further standardize management and ensure the quality and safety of hoisting.
