China's robot industry is moving from low-end to high-end. Zhao Jie, professor of Harbin Institute of Technology and director of the Institute of Robotics, believes that China's robot industry needs to take the road of high-end and high-quality development, which needs to take four capabilities as the starting point, namely, the ability to continuously supply the innovation foundation, the ability to independently control the common technology of core basic components, the ability to continuously improve the quality and application of major technical equipment, and the ability to support quality infrastructure services.

It is understood that China's industrial robots have covered 60 industry categories and 168 industries in the national economy, and service robots have been innovatively applied in logistics, education and entertainment, medical and health fields, and constantly giving birth to new industries, new models and new formats. In 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other four departments announced 77 excellent robot application scenarios, covering agriculture, construction, medical care, mining and other fields.
