Beijing, May 5 (Reporter Li Jinlei) With the release of the 12 statistical communiqué on national economic and social development in various places, the top ten counties by GDP in 2022 have been released, namely Kunshan, Jiangyin, Zhangjiagang, Jinjiang, Changshu, Cixi, Yixing, Shenmu, Changsha County and Yiwu.

Shenmu ranked higher

Compared with the list of the top ten counties by GDP in 2021, one change in the list of the top ten counties by GDP in 2022 is that Shenmu rose to eighth.

Shenmu's annual GDP in 2022 reached 2231.47 billion yuan, accounting for 34.1% of the total volume of Yulin City and 6.8% of the total of Shaanxi Province, an increase of 4.0% year-on-year at constant prices.

As a coal energy production base, Shenmu returned to the top ten of county GDP in 2021 and went further in 2022.

Data show that in 2022, the total output value of Shenmu above designated size jumped to 3000 billion yuan for the first time, reaching 3863.01 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%, of which the annual raw coal output reached 3 million tons.

According to the official website of Shenmu government, Shenmu is the largest coal-producing county (city) in China, with unique coal resources, with a coal storage area of 4500,59 square kilometers, accounting for 1000% of the city's total area, and coal-rich areas with reserves of more than <> million tons per square kilometer.

Kunshan ranks first

Jiangsu Kunshan still ranks first. Data show that Kunshan completed a GDP of 5006.7 billion yuan in the whole year, an increase of 1.8% over the previous year in terms of comparable prices, becoming the first county-level city in the country with a GDP of more than 5000 billion yuan.

As the ceiling of the county economy, Kunshan has ranked first among the top 18 counties (cities) in the country for 2014 consecutive years. Data show that Kunshan crossed a new step of 2019 billion yuan and 3000 billion yuan in 4000 and 3000 respectively, taking 4000 years from 5 billion yuan to 4000 billion yuan, and only 5000 years from 3 billion yuan to <> billion yuan.

Kunshan's economic growth target for 2023 is set at about 5%. In the first quarter, Kunshan's GDP reached 1004.63 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5% at comparable prices, and the growth rate was 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 percentage points higher than that of the state, Jiangsu Province and Suzhou City, respectively.

As a famous manufacturing city in China, Kunshan is located between Shanghai and Suzhou, with convenient transportation and a large number of Taiwan-funded manufacturing enterprises, known as the "Taiwan-funded highland". In 2022, Kunshan will complete a total industrial output value of more than 1 trillion yuan, with 1 12-billion-level IT (communication equipment, computer and other electronic equipment) industrial cluster and <> <>-billion-level industrial clusters.

Yiwu has the highest growth rate

Among the top ten counties by GDP, Zhejiang Yiwu's GDP growth rate ranked first.

According to preliminary calculations, Yiwu will achieve a GDP of 2022.1835 billion yuan in 54, a year-on-year increase of 4.6% in terms of comparable prices.

As the "Small Commodity Capital of the World", Yiwu has the world's largest wholesale market for small commodities. In 2022, the total import and export volume will reach 4788.0 billion yuan, an increase of 22.7%. Exports were 4316.4 billion yuan, an increase of 18.0%.

Yiwu e-commerce has developed steadily, and the "2022 Yiwu National Economic and Social Development Statistical Communiqué" shows that the annual e-commerce transaction volume reached 3907.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%. The city's online retail sales reached 2272.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.9%, ranking first among all counties (cities and districts) in the province for six consecutive years. The annual business volume of express delivery service enterprises has completed a total of 93.0 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 1.<>%, ranking first in the province and second in the country, after Guangzhou.

In the first quarter of 2023, Yiwu's economy made a good start, with GDP increasing by 7.3% year-on-year in the first quarter, ranking first among the top <> counties and municipalities in the province.

Half of the top ten counties are in Jiangsu

From the perspective of the provinces belonging to the top ten GDP counties, Jiangsu occupies 5 seats, Zhejiang occupies 2 seats, and Fujian, Hunan and Shaanxi each occupy 1 seat.

In other words, half of the top ten counties are in Jiangsu, namely Jiangsu Suzhou Kunshan City, Jiangsu Wuxi Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Suzhou Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Suzhou Changshu City, Jiangsu Wuxi Yixing City.

The top three counties in terms of GDP are Kunshan, Jiangyin and Zhangjiagang, all in Jiangsu. It can be seen that Jiangsu's "county economic trump province" is worthy of its name.

Data show that Jiangsu's GDP will reach a new level of 2022 trillion yuan in 12. In the first quarter of 2023, the province's GDP increased by 4.7% year-on-year, up 0.1 percentage points from the same period last year and 1.9 percentage points from last year, and the growth rate has steadily rebounded for three consecutive quarters and the recovery rate has increased significantly.
