The third line in Spain of Ouigo opens this Thursday, April 27. This new route will connect in less than two and a half hours the Madrid-Chamartín-Clara Campoamor station with Albacete-Los Llanos and Alacant-Terminal stations.

The Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, will preside over the departure of the special circulation train that will take media and institutions from Madrid-Chamartín-Clara Campoamor to Alacant-Terminal at 09.30 hours.

In the latter city, the first part of the opening ceremony of the line will be held at 12.05 pm, an event that will be followed by a later one in Albacete-Los Llanos at 14.25 pm. Both events will be attended by the general director of Ouigo Spain, Hélène Valenzuela, as well as the main local and sector institutions.

The first service with passengers will take place at 14:00 p.m. departing from Alicante and will arrive in Madrid at 16:23 p.m.

The line will have 2 daily round trip frequencies (4 journeys) and the tickets, which can be purchased since March 28, start from a general rate of 9 euros, with a flat rate of 5 euros for children between 4 and 13 years old and free for children up to 3 years old as long as they travel in the arms of an adult.

"Alicante will have a direct connection with the financial heart of Madrid, while Madrid will have a new window to the Mediterranean Sea, after last October began circulations on the Madrid-Valencia line with three daily round trips," said the company.
