Sold out on the same day of arrival! Zhejiang strawberries are sold in Singapore, and a box is sold for more than 100 yuan

China is a big strawberry planting country, and it is now the peak fruit period of strawberries. This year, with the increase in international passenger and cargo routes, as well as the speed of customs clearance, the export of fresh strawberries has increased significantly.

In a strawberry farm in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, more than 500 pounds of fresh strawberries will depart on a flight at 10 p.m., and after transportation, customs clearance and other links, they can reach Singapore consumers as soon as the next morning.

Huang Hongzhuan, the head of the orchard, told reporters that the strawberry he planted is called "Yuexiu", which is a new variety of strawberry, because the flesh is firm and the sweetness is suitable, and the sales in China have been very good. Last year, Huang Hongzhuan began exporting strawberries to Singapore. To ensure taste, each strawberry is picked only when it is fully ripe. Such a strawberry sells for about $6 in Singapore.

Huang Hongzhuan, person in charge of a strawberry farm in Pujiang County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province: This batch of strawberries is the third batch of exports this year, and Singapore customers will increase the quantity every time. After our strawberries come up in the second half of the year, customers will come to order immediately.

Picked strawberries need to be packed for export as soon as possible. After the packaging is over, the strawberries enter the customs inspection link, and the focus of the inspection is whether the strawberries carry harmful organisms. Through the "green inspection" channel, fresh products such as strawberries can be prioritized for release and certification.

Dai Qiuyuan: For these agricultural products with a relatively high degree of freshness, enterprises can make an appointment in advance, and we arrange inspection work according to the packaging and export time of the enterprise.

At the Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport cargo terminal, the strawberries were inspected again. There is an all-weather customs clearance mechanism, and fresh goods can also take the "green channel".

Customs statistics show that from January to March this year, China's fresh strawberry exports were 1.3 tons, a year-on-year increase of 3510%, and the export amount reached 25.436 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5159%. With the increase of international passenger and cargo routes, as well as the improvement of customs clearance speed, more and more time-limited goods are going abroad.

At 8:30 a.m., the fresh strawberries picked a day earlier appeared at the airport pick-up warehouse. About an hour later, the Chinese strawberries appeared on the shelves of a local boutique supermarket in Singapore.

Singapore distributor Ying Lijuan: In order to maintain the freshness of strawberries, we import them in small batches and multiple times. The previous two guest feedback was very good, so we imported 600 boxes this time, and the number of reservations has reached more than 500 boxes.
