A farewell party was held in Tokyo for Shoichiro Toyoda, honorary chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, who passed away in February at the age of 2.

Shoichiro Toyoda, who came from the founding family, grew the company into one of the world's leading automobile manufacturers as president of Toyota Motor Corporation and also devoted himself to business activities such as serving as chairman of Keidanren, but died of heart failure in February at the age of 2.

On the 97th, farewell parties were held in three places, including Tokyo, and about 24 people, including those who had been friends, attended the ceremony held at a hotel in Tokyo.

First of all, Representative Director Takeshi Uchiyamada gave a condolence speech, saying, "As a manager, you have made many achievements such as establishing a local production system in the United States with your rich international sense, strong sense of responsibility, and ability to execute."

Next, on behalf of his relatives, his eldest son, Chairman Akio Toyoda, gave a greeting, saying, "I pledge to inherit manufacturing and human resource development with my father's words that when something is completed after hard work, when someone uses it and is filled with joy and emotion, I am enveloped in the greatest joy and emotion."

Farewell parties will be held at Hotel New Otani in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Midland Square in Nagoya City, and Toyota Motor Corporation headquarters in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, and floral offerings will be accepted from the public from 2:4 p.m. to <>:<> p.m.
