China News Agency, Beijing, March 10th (Reporter Chen Su) The "2022 China Natural Oxygen Bar Evaluation Bulletin" (hereinafter referred to as the "Gazette") released by the China Meteorological Administration on the 10th shows that the total area of China's natural oxygen bar areas has exceeded 900,000 square meters kilometer.

Blue sky, green ground, clear water, high-quality climate and ecological resources are the biggest advantages of the natural oxygen bar area.

In order to better excavate and protect eco-tourism climate resources, the Public Meteorological Service Center of China Meteorological Administration compiled the "Communication" to comprehensively analyze the basic situation, main evaluation indicators, climate characteristics, ecological climate resources, and creation benefits of oxygen bar areas in China.

The Bulletin shows that the total area of natural oxygen bars has exceeded 900,000 square kilometers, accounting for about 9.5% of China's total land area.

Since 2016, the China Meteorological Administration has organized meteorological units at the national and provincial levels to jointly create China's natural oxygen bars. 313 areas in 29 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) across the country have won the title of "China's Natural Oxygen Bars".

There are 196 natural oxygen bars with an average annual negative (oxygen) ion concentration of more than 2,000 per cubic centimeter, of which 93 natural oxygen bars have an annual average negative (oxygen) ion concentration of more than 3,000 per cubic centimeter.

The Bulletin analyzed and calculated the climate resources in the natural oxygen bar area based on the evaluation criteria of climate and health care places, using the meteorological observation data from 1991 to 2020. There are 57 oxygen bars with winter comfortable health care climate resources, and 88 oxygen bars with sunlight. Convalescent and healthy climate resources, 67 oxygen bars have summer cool and healthy climate resources.

The Public Meteorological Service Center of China Meteorological Administration and Chengdu University of Information Science and Technology have constructed a Chinese natural oxygen bar benefit evaluation index system covering three dimensions of economic benefit, ecological benefit and social benefit and 15 indicators.

The scope of data collection for this benefit evaluation is the areas that will be re-examined in 2022, that is, the natural oxygen bars that were successfully established in 2016 and 2019 and maintained their titles.

Among the top ten ecological benefit indexes, Ningqiang County in Shaanxi ranks first, Lueyang County in Shaanxi and Pingbian Miao Autonomous County in Yunnan rank second and third respectively.

The growth of forest coverage in these three places is relatively prominent, among which the increase in forest coverage in Ningqiang reaches 16.87%.
