The Russian government proposed to allow the export of LNG from the northern regions

This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

This decision will allow increasing annual LNG production to 100 million tons in the next seven years, the government press service noted.

It will also help increase LNG exports and strengthen Russia's position in the global market for environmentally friendly fuel.

As it became known earlier, the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will develop a roadmap for the development of LNG equipment with an 80% share of domestic technologies.
