According to him, Russia stopped oil supplies to Poland, for which Warsaw was fully prepared.
“Only 10% of raw materials came to us from Russia, and we will replace it with oil from other sources,” Obaitek wrote in his Telegram channel.
He noted that this is the result of the diversification that Poland has carried out over the past few years.
On December 20, Orlen announced its readiness to cancel contracts for oil supplies from Russia in 2023.
On February 3, Bloomberg reported that the Polish authorities intend to more than halve Russian oil imports via the Druzhba pipeline in February.
