Carrefour has just launched the

'Plan 65+'

, a card aimed at people over 65 that offers

discounts in the shopping basket

.

In this way, the supermarket chain seeks to attract senior clientele with advantages to help retirees weather the price inflation crisis.

Among the main benefits of the 'Plan 65+ Card' is the

VAT reduction in the fresh produce section

.

Specifically, it is an automatic discount equivalent to the tax that would apply to each butcher, fish, bakery, pastry, fruit and vegetable, delicatessen, cheese and egg product.

In addition, for being a cardholder, customers over 65 years of age will be able to enjoy exclusive discounts each quarter.

To do this, you must print the discount coupons that interest you the most and redeem them at your Carrefour store by presenting your '65+ Card'.

How to apply for the card

To apply for the card, the customer must go to any Carrefour establishment and present the applicant's National Identity Document (DNI), in addition to filling out a short questionnaire with some personal information.

Once the procedure is complete, you will obtain the 'Plan 65+ Card', although it is essential to be a member of 'El Club Carrefour' beforehand.

If it is not, the store staff will make you a member at the moment.

To use the card, the customer must present it together with their El Club Carrefour card or Pass card at the cash line of the Carrefour hypermarket, Carrefour Market supermarket or Carrefour Express.

You can also use it to benefit from discounts on online purchases.
