In the past, the customer information of a competitor called "Shindenryoku" managed by "Chubu Electric Power Grid" was illegally viewed by "Chubu Electric Miraise", which is in charge of retailing, and employees of contractors. has been confirmed.



At a press conference on the 10th, the two companies conducted a detailed investigation and revealed that there were a total of 85,783 cases of unauthorized browsing in the two months until January 20th.



A total of 3,393 employees at subsidiaries and outsourced companies were involved in unauthorized viewing due to the fact that customer information was not masked on the system, such as Chubu Electric Power Grid.



The information viewed was the customer's name, telephone number, contract details, etc., and was mainly used to respond to inquiries, so it was not used for sales activities to Shindenryoku's customers.



Ryuichi Shimizu, president of "Chubu Electric Power Grid", who attended the interview, apologized, saying, "We take it seriously because it is a leak of customer information and an obstacle to fair competition.
