Suntory Foods International, a major beverage manufacturer, has decided to raise the price of its main product, canned coffee, from May this year.

This is the first time in about 25 years that this company has raised the price of canned coffee.

This time, the price increases will be applied to 42 items, including canned and bottled products such as coffee, tea, and carbonated drinks, and will be implemented from shipments on May 1st.



The range of price increase will be from 19% to 22% on the suggested retail price excluding tax.



Among them, the main canned coffee "BOSS" is 185 grams, and the suggested retail price excluding tax will be 140 yen from 115 yen so far.



It is the first time in about 25 years since 1998 that the suggested retail price of canned coffee has been raised.



In October last year, this company raised the prices of some products, such as beverages in plastic bottles, in addition to the items targeted this time. , It is said that it has become difficult to maintain the price only by corporate efforts so far.
