The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure stated that work is currently underway on a new project for digital transformation by establishing a "unified window" in the field of maritime transport procedures and services, noting that new legislation is under preparation to keep pace with the changes and growth of maritime transport in the UAE.

This came during a press meeting held by the Ministry in Dubai yesterday, with the participation of the "DB World" group and "Abu Dhabi Ports", to announce the "Brick Bulk Middle East" conference and exhibition for shipping and maritime transport, to be held from February 13 to 14. taking place in the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Director of the Inspection and Control Department at the Ministry, Captain Jaber Al-Shehhi, said, "The (unified window) project provides new additional facilities for workers in that maritime transport sector," pointing out that the new project is in line with policies implemented by the Ministry of Energy in this context, which is based on providing Unified windows for services in different sectors.

He revealed that there are new legislations currently under preparation to keep pace with the changes and growth of the maritime transport sector in the country in recent years, as well as the updates witnessed by the sector globally.
