This is because some people on the Internet deliberately released some false information to mislead the people. Some people create these fake news for profit, and they will also use some methods to induce (people) to go to some related websites and steal personal information, including ID card information, social security card information, pension account information, etc.
[Explanation] Jin Weigang introduced that the "certification" mentioned in the rumor refers to the qualification certification for receiving social insurance benefits. The certification time is generally once a year. The social security departments in various regions have different practices for the certification time arrangement.

Qualification certification involves the living conditions of pensioners. The reason for certification is (because) there have been some fraudulent insurance frauds in the past. This is necessary to avoid fund losses, and this is also an international practice.
Usually (social insurance benefit qualification certification) is a one-year cycle, and the practice in some places is different. In some places, it is based on this natural year, for example, from January 1 this year to the end of this year. During the year, you can choose any day, and you can apply for certification.

What is the current situation of pension operations in China?
Jin Weigang introduced that in the national basic endowment insurance for urban employees and the basic endowment insurance for urban and rural residents, the fund income is greater than the expenditure.
According to data from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, in 2022, China's annual social insurance fund income will be 7.1 trillion yuan, expenditure will be 6.6 trillion yuan, and the cumulative balance at the end of the year will be 7.4 trillion yuan. The fund is operating smoothly.
