A Chinese hacking group hacked the homepages of domestic academic institutions and disclosed the personal information of about 160 people.

After the hacking attack was announced, on the 20th, the Korea Construction Policy Institute's homepage was changed to Xiao Qi-ying's logo and the message 'Declare Korea Internet Invasion'.



Today (25th), it was confirmed that the homepages of 11 academic institutions, including the Korean Language Society and the Korean Archaeological Society, suffered the same damage.

Xiao Qi-ying said that he had already hacked 70 domestic education-related sites around the Lunar New Year holiday, and he had the names, addresses, and phone numbers of 161 Koreans on the Internet. was also disclosed.



They claimed that they were "a free group that does not work for the Chinese government," and that "some Korean streaming stars made me angry."



However, it did not reveal who the streaming star was or for what reason.



There was also an argument that it was in retaliation for Korea's short-term visa issuance restrictions, but it was not confirmed whether it was actually related.
