As a cold wave warning took effect in most regions of the country, the government has entered an emergency response to power supply and demand.

The government expects that from the morning of tomorrow (25th), businesses that took a break during the holiday will operate normally, and demand for heating will soar due to the cold wave, resulting in a sharp increase in electricity demand.

KEPCO believes that today's maximum power demand is about 75GW and the supply reserve ratio is 35%, so the power supply and demand are stable.

The Korea Power Exchange plans to monitor snow conditions in the Honam and Jeju regions and preemptively operate coal generators to prevent disruptions in power supply and demand.

In the event of a power outage, you can receive restoration support by calling KEPCO on 123 without an area code or by contacting the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation at 1577-7500.
