Two Kuwaiti ministers, including the finance minister, were to go to parliament at the request of deputies to discuss various economic issues.

But the meeting will not take place since Prime Minister Ahmad Nawaf al-Ahmad Al-Sabah finally handed over the resignation of his team to Crown Prince Mechal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.

Last year, this Gulf oil monarchy had hoped to turn the page on political unrest, the opposition stopped boycotting the elections and its candidates won the majority of seats in Parliament at the end of September.

On the side of power, the ruling family has pledged not to interfere in the work of deputies.

Political instability

But Kuwait has just experienced a new upheaval.

This is the sixth time in three years that the government has resigned amid recurring tensions between the executive and parliament.

The resigning government had promised to tackle important issues such as development projects, the fight against corruption and investments.

A unique tumult among the six oil monarchies of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

None of Kuwait's neighbors tolerates such political turmoil.
