And "Emirates Airlines" stated that, starting next March 27, it will increase the Melbourne destination service from two to three daily flights, from the "Emirates Airlines" center in Dubai via Singapore, in addition to a third direct service to Sydney, starting from May 1, 2023.

The carrier stated that all new flights will operate with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, noting that by mid-2023, its services to Australia will reach 63 flights per week, which means the ability to transport more than 55 thousand passengers every week to and from its main cities. .

Melbourne and Sydney services will also return to pre-COVID-19 levels.

And the Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Operations at Emirates Airlines, Adnan Kazim, considered the return of the airline's flights to both Sydney and Melbourne to pre-pandemic levels, a significant achievement in efforts to restore the airline's capabilities in Australia, and a testament to its long-term commitment to that country.

"The addition of a third daily service to both Sydney and Melbourne will provide more than 500,000 additional seats to and from Australia within a year," he said.

Kazim continued, "For more than 25 years, we have continued to provide our services in Australia since our first trip to Melbourne in 1996. During this period, we carried more than 40 million passengers, and we also continued to serve Australia during the pandemic."

In another context, Emirates Airlines announced the successful completion of a ground test of the GE-90 engine on one of its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, using 100% sustainable fuel.

And she stated that the ground test and results analysis aim to show the engine's ability to operate with a special mixture of 100% sustainable fuel without affecting its performance, in addition to confirming that this type of fuel is suitable as a suitable alternative to conventional aviation fuel, and does not require any modifications to aircraft systems. Or any maintenance and modification procedures, especially on the "GE90" engines that power the "Boeing 777-300ER" aircraft.

The results of the ground test pave the way for the first test flight of Emirates Airlines this week, using 100% sustainable fuel in one engine.
