Iran: 30 political prisoners call for an end to the executions of protesters

A new alert launched to try to prevent the multiplication of executions of demonstrators in Iran.
Thirty political prisoners signed a platform made public this Sunday, January 22.
From Evin prison, they also denounce the injustice of their situation.

Among these thirty signatures are that of the Franco-Iranian researcher Fariba Adelkhah, as well as Faezeh Hashemi former deputy and daughter of former president
Hashemi Rafsanjani
.
They define themselves as political and ideological prisoners of Evin prison.
Their demand is clear: “An end to the executions of protesters and an end to the unjust sentences imposed on prisoners in Iran”.
They themselves claim to have been sentenced to a total of 124 years in prison following unfair and non-transparent procedures.
Fariba Adelkhah
was arrested in June 2019 and sentenced to five years in prison for undermining national security.
According to the Norwegian NGO Iran Human Rights at least 481 people have been killed since the beginning of the demonstrations and 109 prisoners in connection with these mobilizations risk being executed.
Four hangings that have already taken place.
For several weeks, calls have multiplied and in particular demand a reaction from the international community to make Iran bend over the use of executions as a means of repression.
The United Nations counted 14,000 arrests in four months of demonstrations.
