Against the euro, 1 euro was 139.37 to 41 sen, a 76 sen depreciation compared to the 16th.



The euro was 1 euro = 1.0828 to 30 dollars against the dollar.



A market official said, ``There is a view that the Bank of Japan will revise its easing measures at the meeting to decide monetary policy starting today, and recently there has been a growing movement to sell the dollar and buy the yen. In an attempt to secure the yen's appreciation, there was a movement to sell the yen.The market is paying attention to the results of the BOJ's meeting and the remarks of Governor Kuroda at the press conference."
