It is no coincidence that Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang included Cairo in his first overseas tour.

Cairo is the headquarters of the Arab League where the new head of Chinese diplomacy met the secretary general of the pan-Arab organization.

The meeting focused on the modalities for the implementation of the resolutions of the first Sino-Arab summit held last month, which is part of the charm offensive launched by China against an Arab world which is taking gradually distanced itself from the United States.
