At the 2023 CES, which recently ended, many new products from Chinese companies competing for the first and second place in China were also unveiled.

But it's a new product, so I've seen it a lot.

Let's see how much the copy craze of Chinese companies is.

A while ago, I saw an article saying that a certain Chinese company was just copying Samsung and LG.

Hisense, shown here, is one of those companies featured in the article.

From the outside, it looks no different from a typical company that sells home appliances, such as Samsung, LG, Sony, and Toshiba.

But do you see this?

This is called the M1 series of frame TVs made by Hisense, but no matter how you look at it, the concept is very similar to The Frame that Samsung released a few years ago.

“When you are not watching TV, you can put art or photos on the screen and use them as a picture frame” was the main concept Samsung came up with at the time.

Is this the same lineup?

It's common for companies to copy the concept of a company's product that is doing well in competition and make something similar, so I wonder if I can pass it on.

Look at this. This is almost very similar to the type of exhibition that Samsung did a few years ago.

By the way, is this company the year before last?

Unlucky rollable TV has been released, but I would like to admit the technology related to the ultra-short throw projector shown here.

But the contents and appearance are very similar.

Yes?

And like this company, there is another company that is famous for copying the design or technology of Korean companies, and this is TCL.

By the way, can you see this company even though LG has a history of filing patent lawsuits in several areas?

There is a product that combines a washing machine and dryer into one, and this is called a clothes care system.

The products shown here with two washing machines or a washer + dryer are also problematic.

According to LG's explanation, the dryer and the washing machine have different vibration directions, so if they work at the same time, the vibrations overlap and cause an error.

LG solved this somehow and came up with a complete product?

TCL just made a frame and forcibly put two on it.

However, when I think about it like this, I can't help but think that once Chinese companies have a hit, they try to make similar products based only on the appearance.

When I told this to Samsung and LG officials, they both said they were very frustrated.

Since this is just copying the appearance and being released for domestic use in China, it is said that from the point of view of Chinese consumers, LG or Samsung's products are overpriced.

Currently, in China, it is said that 'Guoqiao' mainly uses domestic products with relatively high quality, and the perception that using expensive foreign products, especially Korean products, is overconsumption is slowly taking root. I'm sorry if you do or not.
