This Friday, the Livret A should be revalued, this time based on inflation at 5.9% for the year 2022. According to information from Europe 1, Bruno Le Maire should announce a rate for the Livret A at 3.3%.

A positive consequence of inflation for the French, especially for those who have completed their Livret A.

Its exact level will be known this Friday, but there is no doubt that the Livret A rate will exceed 3%.

A significant increase, while the preferred investment of the French was still paid only up to 0.5% a year ago.

This revaluation will therefore impact the 55 million French people who hold a Livret A. A change that promises to be rather positive.

Bruno Le Maire is expected to announce 3.3%

The French who have completed their Livret A will receive around 300 euros in additional remuneration, that is to say those who have reached the ceiling of 22,950 euros.

The Livret A rate is therefore revised upwards, a positive effect of inflation.

It had already fallen to 2% on August 1st and will therefore be reassessed again on February 1st, this time on the basis of inflation at 5.9% for the year 2022. Thus, it should be around 3.3%.

The governor of the Banque de France must make his recommendations known this Friday and it is the Minister of Finance Bruno Le Maire who will decide.

However, there is a less positive counterpart to this increase in the rate of pay.

The investments on Livret A finance the construction of social housing, but an increase in the return on the livret corresponds to an increase in the interest rates of the loans granted to social landlords.

It is therefore mechanically a drop in the number of projects.
