The industrial union ``Automobile General Federation'', which is made up of labor unions such as automobile manufacturers and parts companies, has shown a stance of seeking wage increases in order to protect the lives of union members as prices rise. I was.

Akihiro Kaneko, chairman of Jidosha Soren, held a press conference on the 12th about the policy of this year's spring labor offensive, saying, "With prices rising more than 3% at present, the challenge is to relieve the burden on union members. We have included it in our request so that it will be an effort to protect people's livelihoods from a decline in real wages due to rising prices."

Although we will not set a uniform request amount equivalent to a "base increase" that raises the base salary, we will request a wage increase toward the wage level that each labor union should aim for in the medium to long term.

In addition, the minimum wage within a company, which is set by an agreement between labor and management, will be raised by 5,000 yen from last year at the age of 18, requiring a monthly income of 173,000 yen or more.

There are more than 790,000 members of labor unions affiliated with Automobile Federation, and each labor union will submit a request to the management by the middle of next month.
