And the Chamber stated in a statement yesterday that the new working group aims to strengthen cooperation relations and partnerships between its members and various stakeholders to enhance the role of medical laboratories and diagnostic centers in supporting the health and medical system, in line with the various strategic plans of the Emirate of Dubai.

"The health sector in Dubai is expected to play an important role in supporting the growth of the healthcare sector in the Middle East and North Africa," said Maha Al Gergawi, Executive Director of Business Support at Dubai Chambers.

She added, "The establishment of the new working group came at an ideal time to support the various plans and strategies launched by Dubai to support the medical sector in the emirate."

"We believe that the new working group will play a pivotal role in supporting the medical and diagnostic care centers sector in the coming years," Al-Gergawi added.

For her part, Dr. Ola Al-Jedar, General Manager of Al Borg Medical Laboratories in the UAE, and one of the founding members of the new working group, said, "The medical care sector in Dubai and the UAE is witnessing remarkable prosperity."
