“Despite the unfavorable external situation, illegitimate restrictions and direct blackmail by some Western countries, Russia and China managed to ensure record high growth rates of mutual trade,” Putin said at talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping via video link.

According to the Russian leader, by the end of the year it will increase by about 25%.

“With such dynamics, we will be able to achieve the target bar of $200 billion set by us by 2024 ahead of schedule,” he said.
