Based on the data of the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange and Dubai Financial Market, institutional investment achieved a net purchase of local stocks at a value of about 10 billion dirhams during the year 2022, after achieving total purchases of 424.6 billion dirhams, compared to total sales of about 414.6 billion dirhams.

The significant increase in institutional investments in local stocks reflects the confidence in the UAE markets and its future growth prospects, and the investment opportunities it provides, thanks to the solid economic foundations of the country, and the strong performance of the companies operating in it, at a time when the markets continue their efforts to attract more foreign and institutional investments, and diversify liquidity. between local and foreign, and the liquidity of institutions and individuals.

Institutional investment accounted for about 78%, equivalent to 839.2 billion dirhams, of the total trading (buying and selling) in the two markets, amounting to 1.07 trillion dirhams, while individual investments accounted for a share of about 22%, equivalent to 237.1 billion dirhams.

The institutions made a net investment in the Abu Dhabi Securities Market of 7.8 billion dirhams as a purchase proceeds in 2022, after recording purchases worth 371.68 billion dirhams, compared to sales of about 363.8 billion dirhams.

Institutions recorded the highest net purchase value in the Abu Dhabi market during last March, by about 2.

In the Dubai Financial Market, the net investment of institutions amounted to about 2.13 billion dirhams as a purchase proceeds in 2022, after achieving purchases worth 52.9 billion dirhams, compared to sales of about 50.7 billion dirhams.

The local financial markets are looking forward to more institutional investments in the new year 2023, especially since the markets are full of many investment opportunities, represented in the shares of companies with strong financial solvency, with their trading at attractive price levels, attractive to institutions, and local and foreign portfolios.
