The world's first domestically produced C919 large aircraft will start a 100-hour verification flight on December 26, 2022.

  On December 9, 2022, China Eastern Airlines, as the world's first user of the C919, officially received the world's first aircraft numbered B-919A.

The "first show" flight between Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao with flight number MU919 marked a new milestone in the development of the large aircraft business and officially took the key "first step" in the commercial operation of civil aviation.

  With the delivery of the world's first C919, the domestic large aircraft business has shifted from the "first half" of COMAC R&D and manufacturing to the "second half" of China's civil aviation commercial operations.

At present, China Eastern Airlines has specially set up the C919 flight department, and selected 24 pilots with rich experience, superb skills and good style as the first batch of civil aviation C919 pilots; the first batch of flight crew and the first batch of maintenance engineers are also ready.

It is reported that China Eastern Airlines will invest the strongest personnel and resources to be responsible for the operation guarantee of C919, to ensure the perfect connection between the "first half" and "win the whole game".

  The commercial operation of China Eastern Airlines C919 has entered the "sprint stage". Since the C919 is the world's first model, on the basis of obtaining the initial approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, China Eastern Airlines will also carry out more than 100 hours of empty aircraft verification tests to ensure the aircraft's operational safety. , maintenance reliability and various operation support capabilities are verified and confirmed.

China Eastern Airlines will apply to the authority for the "Operation Specifications" to obtain the final approval of the commercial operation of the C919 aircraft.

  After completing the above preparations, the first C919 of China Eastern Airlines is expected to meet the requirements of the Civil Aviation Administration of China in the spring of 2023 at the earliest and be put into commercial passenger operation.

The remaining four of China Eastern Airlines' first batch of C919 orders will be delivered in succession in the next two years.
