According to the Corporation's annual report, the UAE ranked 11th in the world among the fastest markets, and the first regionally among the list of the 20 largest air transport markets in the world in terms of scheduled seat capacity during 2022, on flights at its international airports, and the fastest markets recovering from the crisis.

And the UAE acquired about 29% of the scheduled seat capacity of airlines in the Middle East region during the year 2022, which according to the data amounted to 219.14 million seats, while the country’s share of the seat capacity of airlines worldwide, which amounted during the current year to more than 4.74. One billion seats, about 1.34%.

Globally, the seat capacity amounted to about 4.7 billion scheduled seats during the year 2022. The Corporation's report indicated that the global seat capacity rebounded during the current year, by more than 30% compared to 2021, and by approximately 50% compared to 2020, however, the capacity is still on a basis An annual rate of about 18% less than the level of 2019, adding that in 2017 the capacity reached levels of 5.2 billion, compared to 2.6 billion in 1996.
