Recently, there has been a shortage of antipyretics in China, and many people have begun to seek overseas purchases of antipyretics. The reporter of China Business News learned from various interviews that antipyretics in overseas online stores on some platforms have also been sold out, and some online stores have opened a time-limited purchase mode. And many merchants specializing in overseas purchasing agents have also raised the price of antipyretic drugs. At present, the prices of various imported antipyretic drugs are chaotic, and the maximum price difference of the same drug is as high as 9 times.

However, it will take more than a week to arrive in China whether it is a purchasing agent or overseas direct mail on the platform. In this regard, experts suggest rational preparation of medicines, and it is not advisable to use overseas shopping platforms to purchase too many fever medicines blindly.

Overseas pharmacies on the platform are out of stock, and foreign pharmacies are limited to purchase

Lin Shen and his wife live in Shanghai. Their second baby was born a few months ago. Since children's fever-reducing medicines are not available in China, Lin Shen asked his relatives in Australia to buy the commonly used local children's fever-reducing medicine (Panadol) two days ago.

"The relatives in Australia went to the pharmacy to buy it. It may be a prescription drug that is restricted. They can only buy two bottles at a time. They helped us buy four bottles."

Lin Shen also provided a photo of his ID card when the relatives mailed it. He said that he felt that the current (overseas drug purchase and delivery) process is still quite strict.

However, he found that the same type of children's antipyretics has already appeared on the Internet, and he felt very puzzled, why the agent can buy so many.

Panadol, also known as Bili Pain, contains acetaminophen, etc. It is a commonly used drug overseas to relieve colds, fevers, headaches, and muscle aches.

The reporter found that Mannings’ overseas official flagship store on Taobao claimed that its online sales of Bisperidone (for adults) was the same product as the Hong Kong store, and the drug was currently sold out.

Another shop on Taobao, Mannings Pharmaceutical Overseas Flagship Store, adopts the method of limited daily supply of Piridine (for adults, produced by a Spanish manufacturer). It goes on sale at 10:00 am and 16:00 pm, and each user is limited to one box.

The customer service staff of the store said that they can usually be bought after the sale.

It is expected to arrive in the hands of users from Hong Kong, about 7 to 15 working days.

As for antipyretics for children, the store is out of stock.

In a Japanese drug franchise store in JD.com, the reporter found that the ibuprofen in the store was only 75mg, 48 capsules, and the price was 218 yuan per box. goods.

At present, the store does not have antipyretics for children. The customer service said it is not clear whether it will be purchased in the near future.

If you buy the 218 yuan/box of ibuprofen medicines in the store, the customer service said that they will be shipped from December 21, direct mail from Japan, and it is expected to be delivered to users within 10 to 12 days after delivery.

"There is currently no purchase limit, and you can take a lot of orders."

Lao He, who works in New Zealand, also felt the shortage of some medicines in China.

"At the end of November, my parents in Guangzhou sent me a WeChat message, asking me to prepare some medicines to send to them. At that time, my parents went all over Jianmin, and Baozhilin Pharmacy was no longer available." Lao He told China Business News The reporter said that it takes about ten days to send items from New Zealand to Guangzhou, and it takes about 25 days if it is slow.

I sent some paracetamol before, and it took about three weeks.

On December 16, according to the drug list provided by Lao He to the reporter, 2 boxes of N95 masks, 2 boxes of antiviral capsules, 1 box of propolis, 2 vitamin C effervescent, 1 heat probe, 5 boxes of test antigens, A total of 21.2 New Zealand dollars, about 94.26 yuan.

"The price has not changed much compared to usual. Some products also have special offers, such as electronic thermometers. You can get a discount if you buy two, which is about 14.99 New Zealand dollars. Panadol 50 pieces are about 8.49 New Zealand dollars (RMB 37 yuan), Brufen There are still some discounts for ibuprofen.” Lao He said that there is no shortage of local pharmacies in New Zealand at present, but I heard from friends in Australia that there is a shortage of antipyretics, and some pharmacies have restricted purchases. The teacher learned that he had received a document stating that Panadol could not be mailed back to China.

The overseas store on the platform is up to 9 times higher than the local price

Chinese people are asking relatives and friends overseas to send medicines back home. This is not only related to the shortage of antipyretics in China, but also to the 9-fold difference between the overseas direct mail price on the domestic platform and the foreign retail price.

Take the Bilimadon in an overseas drug store on JD.com as an example. The price is 168 yuan (500mg*24 capsules/box), and the manufacturer is GSK.

The customer service said that it is shipped from Hong Kong and is expected to be received 20 to 40 days after delivery.

The shipping fee is extra, the price is 30 yuan.

This means that it will cost nearly 200 yuan to buy a box of Bilimadin, and if the shipping fee is not included, the single pill is about 7 yuan.

The reporter learned from the French sojourners that the price of the same manufacturer of Bisperidone (500mg*60 capsules/box) is 10.14 euros, or about 75 yuan.

That is to say, the local purchase price of a single grain is about 1.25 yuan.

In the Netherlands, it is cheaper to buy GSK Bisperidone (500mg*20 capsules) locally. The price is 1.99 euros, which is about 14.8 yuan, and the price of a single capsule is only 0.74 yuan.

The above-mentioned French person also introduced Doliprane, a commonly used local antipyretic drug, which is priced at 2.18 euros (1000mg*8 capsules/box) in France, or about 16.12 yuan.

The reporter found that the price of the same drug on JD.com was 160 yuan, but it was currently out of stock, and the price difference with the local price in France was as high as 9 times.

Gan Yue, who settled in the United States in 2013, is also helping to purchase related drugs recently, mainly Advil, Tylenol, and vitamin granules. They are all purchased at the local Costco, and it takes two to three weeks to arrive in China through international logistics.

The main ingredient of Advil is ibuprofen, 240 capsules in two bottles, and the purchasing price is 219 yuan; the main ingredient of Tylenol is acetaminophen, 325 capsules per bottle, and the price is also 219 yuan.

At present, the above two drugs can also be bought in Jingdong International, but the price is twice as expensive as compared to purchasing agents, and the time limit is also longer.

The reporter found in JD.com that the price of the same two bottles of Advil ibuprofen liquid capsules ranges from 378 yuan to 389 yuan on JD International, and the price of 325 tablets of Tylenol acetamido sustained-release tablets ranges from 388 yuan to 421 yuan.

Both products show direct mail from SF Express in the United States. An order is limited to one bottle, and an additional international shipping fee of about 25-30 yuan is required, and the delivery time is 2-3 weeks.

Overseas purchasing agents out of stock and price increases

Not only overseas direct mail stores on the platform have raised their prices on the ground, but merchants specializing in purchasing services are also increasing prices.

Chen Lan in Hangzhou has been engaged in daigou for many years. Since there are many small agents in her hand who buy goods from her, her studio will maintain a certain amount of overseas Internet celebrity vitamins, cold medicines and painkillers in stock.

She told the first financial reporter that due to the recent adjustment of domestic epidemic prevention and control policies, the demand in this area has exploded.

"On the day before yesterday and yesterday, the studio's VC, cold medicine, antipyretics, and painkillers were all empty. In the past two days, more than 40 boxes of cold medicines have been sold, and VC in Jeju Island has sold more than 230 boxes. Japan's painkillers There are more than 20 boxes of the drug EVE, and we can’t buy it locally in Japan (Osaka). Even the constipation medicine is sold out, I just don’t understand.”

Not only has the shipment volume increased, but prices have also risen.

Chen Lan said that the current price of this category has basically increased by about 10%. "The most rapid increase is VC in Thailand. Since VC was out of stock in Jeju Island, things that used to cost less than 40 yuan (excluding shipping costs) can now be sold." To 110 yuan, the feedback from the overseas procurement side is that procurement is very difficult.”

For some categories that are currently out of stock, she said, "It is estimated that the purchase will arrive in half a month, and with the transportation cycle, everyone can buy it in China at that time, and there is no need to purchase in large quantities."

She also reminded that if you look for an agent to buy these medicines and health products, you must not go to the doctor in a hurry. "Now you can still say that there are a lot of goods, you must be careful, not only may there be fake products, but also the platform may be misappropriating money and running away." Yes, I don’t have any goods in hand at all.”

Prior to this, many experts also called on consumers to purchase medicines rationally instead of blindly hoarding medicines.

An infectious disease expert once told a reporter from China Business News that the new crown is a self-limiting disease. At present, it is mainly asymptomatic. Most people can recover on their own without taking drugs.

"We do not encourage citizens to buy antiviral drugs blindly, because some drugs may have limited effects and have many side effects. If you need to prepare medicines, you can prepare some relatively symptomatic medicines, such as antipyretics, but still No need to stockpile large amounts of medication."
