Local stock gains exceeded 28 billion dirhams in the last sessions of the week

Local stock markets consolidated their gains at the end of trading today, Friday, the last sessions of the week, as their market capitalization gained more than 28.48 billion dirhams, amid an increase in the pace of purchase in key sectors such as real estate and banks.

The market capital of listed shares rose from 3.198 trillion dirhams at the end of yesterday's session to 3.226 trillion dirhams at the end of today's session, distributed by 2.649 trillion dirhams for shares listed on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange and 577.616 billion dirhams for shares listed on the Dubai Financial Market.

The Abu Dhabi market index rose by 1.7% at the level of 10315 points, with a total turnover of two billion dirhams, bringing its weekly gains to 1%, equivalent to 99 points.

The positive performance came at the end of Friday's trading, coinciding with the rise of "Americana", the most traded stock, by 2.3% at 3.15 dirhams, with transactions of nearly 95 million shares.

The share of “First Abu Dhabi” increased by 4.3% at 17.1 dirhams, while the share of “Al-Dar Properties” increased by 3.2% at 4.48 dirhams.

The “Vertiglobe” share increased by 3.8% at 4.4 dirhams, and the “Multiplay” share increased by 1.4% at 4.96 dirhams.

The Dubai market index rose by 0.4% at the level of 3329 points, with transactions amounting to a total value of more than 1.2 billion dirhams, bringing its weekly gains up by four points, equivalent to 0.1%.

The positive performance came with the rise of the "Union Properties" share, by 3.3%, at 0.281 dirhams.

Dubai Electricity and Water rose by 0.8% at 2.36 dirhams, while Dubai Islamic rose by 1.4% at 5.68 dirhams.

Emirates NBD rose 0.8% at 13.20 dirhams.
