According to the union, Rolls Royce employees will receive the largest salary increase in the history of the British luxury car manufacturer.

Around 1,200 workers who assemble the luxury brand's Phantom, Ghost and Cullinan models at the Goodwood factory voted for a 10 percent wage increase and a one-off payment of £2,000 ($2,430), the union said in a statement on Friday.

For the employees represented by Unite, this means a total wage increase of between 14.8 percent and 17.6 percent over a year, it said.

It is one of the highest wage increases recently agreed in Great Britain.
