Chinanews.com, Beijing, December 10th (Reporter Wang Qingkai) The CCID Consulting County Economic Research Center recently analyzed 828 counties in 12 western provinces (cities, districts) from the four dimensions of economic strength, growth potential, wealth, and green level. The county-level comprehensive competitiveness of the county-level administrative regions has been comprehensively evaluated and analyzed, and the list of the top 100 counties in the western region in 2022 has been drawn.

The study pointed out that the county-level economic development in the western region is extremely unbalanced, and Sichuan has the largest number of top 100 counties.

In 2022, counties (cities, autonomous counties) of 10 provinces (cities, districts) in the 12 provinces (cities, districts) in the western region will enter the top 100 counties in the west.

From the perspective of provinces, in 2022, a total of 36 counties (cities) in Sichuan Province will be listed in the top 100 western countries, accounting for more than 30% of the total.

The counties (cities) in Yunnan, Guizhou, and the two provinces all have more than 10 seats on the list; the five provinces (cities, districts) in Guangxi, Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, and Chongqing have between 5 and 10 seats in the list; Qinghai and Ningxia each have 1 County-level cities entered the list.

Counties (cities) in Gansu and Tibet missed the list of top 100 counties in western China.

In terms of economic scale, the study believes that the economic scale of the top 100 counties in the west is outstanding, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

In 2021, the total GDP of the top 100 counties in the west will be 4.3 trillion yuan, which is only lower than Sichuan Province in the west and higher than other provinces (cities, districts) in the west.

The GDP scale of the top 100 counties in the west is outstanding, but compared with the national top 100 counties (11.4 trillion yuan), it is less than half of the national top 100 counties, and there is still a big gap.

It is worth noting that the per capita GDP of the top 100 western counties exceeds the national average.

In 2021, the per capita GDP of the top 100 counties in the west will be 107,300 yuan, which is higher than that of Inner Mongolia (85,400 yuan), Sichuan (64,300 yuan) and Yunnan (57,700 yuan) compared with the provinces (cities, districts) in the western region. It is twice that of Guizhou Province (50,800 yuan).

From a national perspective, the per capita GDP of the top 100 western counties is higher than the national average (81,000 yuan).

The study also found that the proportion of days with fine air in the top 100 counties in the west is higher than that in the whole country.

In 2021, the proportion of days with good air in the top 100 counties in the west will reach 89.8%, 2.3 percentage points higher than the national average, and slightly higher than Sichuan (89.5%) and Inner Mongolia (89.6%), but compared with Yunnan, there is still Big gap.
