[China New Observation] The first C919 aircraft was delivered!

What work needs to be done for internationalization?

When will the first C919 aircraft be ready for commercial operation after delivery?

How to ensure the safety of commercial flight operations?

What impact will it have on China's aviation industry?

Gai Yi, the leader of the C919 review project and the deputy director of the Aircraft Review Center of the Civil Aviation Science and Technology Academy of China, accepted an exclusive interview with the "China New Observation" column of Chinanews.com for interpretation.

Before the commercial operation of C919,

there are three aspects to

be done well

The C919 aircraft is a 150-seat domestically-made large passenger aircraft developed and produced by COMAC. It is also the second domestically-made jet airliner that has obtained a production license from the Civil Aviation Administration of China after the ARJ21-700 aircraft of COMAC. Its final assembly production facility is located in Pudong, Shanghai I wish the bridge.

After the C919 aircraft is delivered to the airline, what work remains to be done before the official commercial operation?

When can passengers buy tickets to take the domestic large aircraft C919?

In this regard, Gai Yi said that before the official commercial operation of the C919, the following work needs to be done: First, prepare relevant manuals and documents applicable to the fleet based on the conclusions of the new model aircraft operation conformity review (AEG review), and establish a new model aircraft management system. maintenance engineering capabilities and operational support capabilities; secondly, the airline applies to the regional administration for operation certification, and through the operation certification, the new model will be added to the airline's operating specifications; finally, the new model needs to implement the At least 100 hours of verification flight without passengers to accumulate experience in the use of new models.

"For a brand-new large domestic aircraft like the C919, the verification flight usually takes three months to half a year." Gai Yi said that during the verification flight, airlines need to accumulate all kinds of technical personnel, including flight personnel. The qualifications and experience of the new model, as well as the experience of using the new model, gradually adapt to the use of the new model.

In addition, the new models will continue to be optimized and improved to lay a solid foundation for the formal launch of commercial operations.

Subsequent pilot training arrangements have been considered when planning the T5 test

Flight safety is of extraordinary significance to the aviation industry.

Whether a new type of aircraft can be recognized by the public is closely related to the level of flight safety.

What measures will all parties take to jointly ensure the flight safety of the C919?

Gai Yi said that flight safety depends on strict procedures and systems, especially for the training and training of flight personnel, there is a complete system and strict process.

"For a new aircraft type, the problem of 'qualified flight instructors and inspectors' must be solved first. Only by solving the above problems can the rigorous system and process operate normally, and continuously train pilots who meet the qualification requirements of the new aircraft type. up to the task of driving."

On November 29, the C919 aircraft T5 test summary and AEG review report issuance activity was held at the COMAC Customer Service Center.

After the completion of the T5 test, 15 pilots, including the flight instructor of the COMAC Customer Service Center, obtained the C919 aircraft type qualification, and 3 pilots came from China Eastern Airlines.

Gai Yi said that when AEG planned the T5 test, it had already considered the training arrangements for the subsequent C919 pilots.

Combined with the T5 test, the flight instructors and bureau inspectors have obtained the qualifications of the new model to ensure the smooth delivery and continuous safe operation of the C919.

In addition to flight personnel, various professionals such as maintenance personnel, flight attendants, and flight attendants will also play a vital role in the flight safety of aircraft.

He revealed, "Currently, COMAC and China Eastern Airlines have carried out professional training work to train a sufficient number of professionals based on the conclusions of the AEG review."

C919 Promotes the Overall Improvement of my country's Aviation Industry System Capabilities

The design, development and manufacture of civil large airliners and aero-engines is known as the "Pearl in the Crown of Industry".

The R&D and manufacturing capacity of large passenger aircraft is an important symbol of a country's aviation manufacturing level.

Earlier, the East China Regional Administration of Civil Aviation stated that in the future, the first C919 aircraft will be delivered to China Eastern Airlines Group Co., Ltd., and more domestic large passenger aircraft will be put into route operation.

Gai Yi said that the large-scale commercial operation of domestic large-scale passenger aircraft has actually just started.

With the gradual expansion of the C919 fleet, new tests and challenges will be brought to manufacturers.

Gai Yi said that the commercial operation of large civil aircraft has high standards and strict requirements.

In terms of the civil airliner industry chain, the commercial operation of the C919 will play a positive role in design, manufacturing, suppliers, training, maintenance, aviation materials, etc., and promote the overall improvement of the capabilities of my country's aviation industry system.

Prior to this, the C919 had received orders for 815 aircraft from 28 customers.

"The large-scale commercial operation of the domestically produced large aircraft C919 will also pave the way for its internationalization." Gai Yi pointed out that civil aviation regulatory agencies will continue to carry out international cooperation, and the review policy and system will be safe, reliable and international for the domestically produced large passenger aircraft. The development goal of operation is constantly improved.
