Siluanov noted that the West has always urged Russia to use transparent, market-based measures, although it has repeatedly used double standards.

“Actually, this is what is happening now,” the head of the Ministry of Finance said.

According to Siluanov, if “regulation is going on somewhere, it means that on the other hand, there will be an impact on prices, and on consumption volumes in the market, and so on.”

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is finalizing the preparation of response measures to the introduction of a ceiling on oil prices.
