In the draft guidelines presented last week, it is necessary for age verification to be able to confirm that the purchaser is over 20 years old by name, date of birth, etc., and that the person who presented the information is the person himself. I think it's a condition.



On top of that, he gives examples of how to read public certificates such as driver's licenses with a dedicated terminal and how to use smartphones equipped with My Number Card functions that will be put into practical use next year.



This proposal was virtually approved by the working group of the government's Digital Temporary Administrative Investigation Committee held last week, and will be announced as official guidelines at the end of next month, taking into account the opinions of experts.



In response to the formulation of the guidelines, each convenience store company plans to seriously consider the introduction of the service.
