After only two months, the troubled dialysis group Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) has the next change at the top of the company.

Carla Kriwet resigned from her position as chairwoman and member of the board of management with effect from December 5, 2022, the subsidiary of the Fresenius medical group announced late Monday evening.

Kriwet is going "at his own request and by mutual agreement due to strategic differences".

FMC must focus even more on the operational turnaround, further improve the company's performance and concentrate on its core, explained the CEO of the parent company, Michael Sen.

Chief Financial Officer takes over

Effective December 6, Helen Giza will take over the management of the company.

She will also remain CFO until a successor is found.

She took on that role in 2019

FMC have long struggled with a nursing shortage in the US, supply chain issues, and rising wages and material costs.

The impact of improvement measures in healthcare services in North America was delayed because of the difficult environment, it was said in October.

As a result, shortly after Kriwet took office, FMC had to lower its 2022 earnings outlook for the second time in three months.

This also forced Fresenius to make a correction.
